The old version of the F.E.R.A.L. was part of the data ported to the production build together with assets for the Mad Lab, however remained unreleased/unused for many years, similar to Jeebs. The F.E.R.A.L. Was most likely intended to be a small event not like a Grand Sphinx or a Hermit God, but rather something similar to the Kage Kami. The F.E.R.A.L. would serve as the drop location for the, at the time, new Mad Lab dungeon port. The F.E.R.A.L. had its own setpiece, behavior, animations and projectiles.

The F.E.R.A.L. moves linearly in a square formation in the following order:

This movement behavior will repeat in sync with the attacking behavior. At each time of moving the F.E.R.A.L. will shrink down into a pool of water/transformation fluid, move and reappear at a new pool, similar to it’s current way of moving in High Tech Terror. On death a Mad Lab portal will spawn in the center of the setpiece.
At each stop of the four corners that make up a rectangle of its movement the F.E.R.A.L. will rise up from a pool of water and attack players nearby. The F.E.R.A.L. only has two projectiles:
