Blueprints

Blueprints are consumable items that unlock UT items to be crafted inside the Item Forge. Alternatively, up to one blueprint can be selected during the crafting process to decrease the crafted item’s usage of Forgefire.

A blueprint can be one of five rarities - ranging from Basic to Exalted - and usually unlock between one and four specific items. Unreleased blueprints can be found here.

All blueprints are Soulbound and have 500 Feed Power.

Many blueprints can be purchased for Fame in the Forge tab of the Shop menu in the Nexus.

Droppable grouped blueprints

Large portion of grouped earlygame and midgame blueprints can be obtained as drops from various sources, roughly one difficulty tier above the source of the items themselves.

Basic blueprints

As the lowest rarity, basic blueprints contain earlygame UTs (D-graded), and lower the Forgefire cost of an item by 20.

Greater Blueprints

A step up from Basic blueprints, Greater blueprints contain C-graded items - including various cyan bag items, as well as a few godlands dungeon white bag items.

With only two distinct blueprints (one of them being limited), this is the smallest group of blueprints.

Superior Blueprints

Superior blueprints contain the largest variety in terms of items, unlocking B-graded items ranging from godlands dungeon whites to encounter dungeon whites. It is also the second-largest group of blueprints, with 12 distinct blueprints. Superior blueprints offer a reduction of 60 forgefire cost when used in the crafting of an item.

Paramount Blueprints

Paramount blueprints contain A-ranked items - dungeon whites from higher-level dungeons, once-per-realm encounters and Court of Oryx dungeons. Paramount blueprints offer a reduction of 80 forgefire cost when used in the crafting of an item.

Grouped exalted Blueprints

Grouped exalted blueprints contain elusive S-ranked recipes for untiered gear from endgame dungeons, and have the widest variety of recipes at 17 blueprints. Exalted blueprints offer a reduction of 120 forgefire cost when used in the crafting of an item. Only a single blueprint is currently available from the ancient schematic quest but there seem to be no plans to release them anymore in the future, majority of them remaining never released (see Unreleased Blueprints for more information).

For about a month following the release of the forge, some Oryx’s Sanctuary blueprints could drop from the Void Entity, however as of Exalt Version 1.3.1.0 (Jan 2021), Exaltation dungeons now only drop unique (single-item) blueprints with items that normally drop inside them. A blueprint with certain Crystal Cavern items was also available in the Nexus shop before the introduction of Grand Bazaar. Another blueprint, once again for Crystal Cavern items was released in 3rd schematic rotation in December 2021. This was done because unique Sporous Spray Spell blueprint didn’t exist at the time. Later that month, this blueprint was available for a brief period of time as a drop from Crystal Worm Mother for the same reason.

Droppable unique blueprints

Since December 2021, almost all bosses and event gods who drop S or SS tier UT items that aren’t available in forge by default drop unique blueprints for those items. Previously, only Oryx’s Sanctuary and few other blueprints dropped from their bosses. In fact, the only items for which a blueprint cannot drop are Seal of Blasphemous Prayer, Shield of Ogmur, Dirk of Cronus, Cloak of Bloody Surprises.

Schematic quest blueprints

In October 2021, Schematics and Ancient Schematics were released. A single stack (two stacks before December 2021) of these tokens can be exchanged for a blueprint of the player’s choice at the Tinkerer for S or SS tier blueprints respectively. Items were announced to be on rotation, meaning the quests will periodically change with items eventually making a return.

Grand Bazaar blueprints

All regular (non-event) items up to A tier that aren’t unlocked by default have their blueprint available in the Grand Bazaar, except for Decaract and Sulfurous Wetlands UTs.

You can access all the blueprints in the Forge section of the Shop when you are in Nexus. Only a small portion of these blueprints can be found physically in a single Grand Bazaar at a time and you might need to go through multiple Bazaars to find the one you desire, so using the Shop is much easier.
