Behavior

Standing nearly still, Sprite Gods will fire a directed 4-bullet spread towards players, as well as a prediction-aimed grey boomerang which does not inflict any damage, but will silence players for 4 seconds.

Tips and Strategies

Sprite Gods have higher HP than the other Sprite Forest enemies (1,500 vs. 800) so they require a bit more commitment to take down.

• If you don’t mind being Silenced, the Sprite God is a relatively unremarkable foe:
• Any character can simply circle around it, avoiding any damage but taking all of the Silencing shots.
• Long-ranged classes can stand completely still at a distance and take no damage, as the four-shot spread will go around them.
• There are also a few ways to avoid being Silenced, but the boomerang complicates things by firing at independent times:
• On a class with high Speed, circle around it in a staccato fashion, stopping each time you move out of the bullets’ paths. Sometimes the boomerang will be redirected away from you, and other times it will fire right at you, forcing you to start moving early.
• Dance around in one general area, grazing the shotgun while avoiding and/or misdirecting the boomerang. (This is difficult enough to be impractical for most players, but it can make for a fun challenge.)

History

Before Exalt Version 4.2.1.1 (Apr 2024), the Sprite God spawned many Sprite Children, and did not drop the Sprite World itself.
Before (unknown version; possibly the godlands sprite update), the Sprite God’s boomerang inflicted Quiet.
During build 115, Sprite Gods were the only source of the newly-introduced Wine Cellar Incantation. Godlands were often emptied of Sprite Gods due to this. As of build 117, Sprite Gods no longer drop the incantation.
