The Mad Scientist Set was the fifth themed set released, in Build 123.5.0 (Aug 2012), and the second in the Kabam-era of the game.
This set is fairly viable, with the wand, scepter, and robe all being anywhere from decent to great. The Fulmination is better as a swapout, with the robe perhaps fitting in better with another scepter. Regardless, the set in its entirety is not bad, though there are better ring options.
