The Cavecrawler Maggot always spawns with four body segments and one head segment. It initially chases players, its head firing shotguns of yellow bullets while its body segments fire smaller white shots to the sides of themselves. The head cannot be harmed until the entire body is dead.
Once it’s body is destroyed, the head becomes Armored and vulnerable after a short delay. It then chases players, firing 3-way shotguns of yellow blasts.

Out of the 3 standard cavecrawler worms, this worm is notorious for being the most dangerous of the lot. It frequently charges at players with massive shotguns in an attempt to sit on them, usually resulting in an instant kill especially if only the head remains (2250 dmg at 0 def). Always keep your distance and slow it in order to dispose of it safely and quickly. Decoys are also very helpful to stop it from charging into the group.
