The Tesseract Goddess is the second and final boss of The Third Dimension.
The Realm Eye says: |
---|
Though it was nigh impossible to create great titans from the overgrown cubes as Oryx had hoped, he was able to bring a fourth-dimensional being, the Tesseract Goddess, into existence. Being able to ascend to higher dimensions, she took residence in the Third Dimension where she commands an army of cubes against the realm. Outside of the fourth dimension, the Tesseract Goddess’ form is quite unstable. She is bound to her home dimension and must periodically return to avoid being undone. |

The Tesseract Goddess is found on a large square platform, accessible using blue teleporters at the ends of pathways in the Third Dimension’s second half. When approached by a player, it will appear and provide a taunt before initiating combat.
“Though you may have destroyed my shadow, you are no match for my multi-dimensional strength.”
Once players enter this platform, they will not be able to leave it until the boss is defeated.
Taunt: “You’ll be short work for my fragments! Your weapons mean nothing against me as long as they’re sustaining my barrier.”
The Tesseract Goddess sheds its four fragments and sends them out to attack players. They will orbit her clockwise while “pulsing” between different orbit distances, firing several 2-way bullets roughly aimed at the nearest player before resting. All four fragments must be defeated to make the boss vulnerable, and defeated fragments will go invincible and continue attacking.
For every fragment defeated, hazardous Square Ether will creep onto the platform, making the amount of space smaller the more fragments have been defeated. In addition, defeating a fragment will cause the Tesseract Goddess to gain one fragment back, gaining access to a new attack.
Once all four fragments have been defeated, the Tesseract Goddess will go vulnerable (but Armored) and continue a modified version of the previous attack pattern, without the AoE bursts.
“My fragments could not have been disabled so easily!”
Taunt: “Steel yourselves! My cubytes will reduce you to nothing for your transgressions against the Mad God.”
At 80% HP, the Tesseract Goddess despawns her fragments and spawns in four Cubytes that circle the boss, firing streams of bullets perpendicular to their movement to create both an inward and outward spiral of shots. The boss herself will be firing 4-way bursts of slowing squares, along with aimed pink bombs that inflict Silence.
All four Cubytes must be defeated to progress the phase; when a Cubyte drops below 50% HP, it will become Armored until it dies. When a Cubyte is defeated, it will remain invulnerable and continue shooting, albeit with a significantly reduced fire rate.
The Tesseract Goddess despawns the Cubytes and all Square Ether before disappearing and spawning a clone of herself. Both her and the clone will start moving around the platform by spawning from one of the eight evenly spaced portals along the platform’s edge, travelling across in a straight line, and leaving through the portal opposite to the original. Their path will be telegraphed by a significantly faster square shot preceding their movement. While travelling, both the boss and the clone will fire streams of shots perpendicular to their movement, shoot single aimed square bullets, and throw light blue bombs on their own locations. They are both permanently Armored.
In addition to being distinguished by its lack of a quest indicator and undamaged health bar, the clone can be identified as it fires significantly faster than the real boss, has smaller bombs, and will periodically pause its attacks. The clone has the same stats as the Goddess except for its lower 85,000 HP, and will go invulnerable and disappear if damaged enough.
At 60% HP, the Tesseract Goddess despawns her clone and reappears in the center of the platform, turning red and purple - the same colors as the Dirk of Cronus.
“Imperfections such as you so-called heroes must be eradicated.”
“You misshapen miscreants will perish in the lower dimensions, having lost all form!”
She will then repeat her first phase, but now all her shots and minions will be more dangerous red versions. In addition:
Once again, destroying all the fragments will expose the boss to damage.
“My fragments have failed me yet again!”
Taunt: “But my cubytes have returned stronger than ever!”
At 40% HP, the Tesseract Goddess spawns in red Cubytes that do armor piercing damage and rotate the other way while being faster. Other than that and her shots being more dangerous (her bomb notably inflicts Quiet instead of Silence), this phase is the same as Phase 2.
The Tesseract Goddess repeats Phase 3, but with increased damage and speed, as well as the presence of the Cronus Ether.
Taunt: “Look sharp! Your fate in the drifting void draws near!”
At 20% HP, the Tesseract Goddess reappears in the center of the arena and grows in size. She then starts cycling rapidly between three patterns at random, choosing a random one to start:
She will flash red and go invulnerable between attacks, and will be Armored while attacking.
Once she is reduced to 1% HP, she will dwindle away and perish, leaving her loot behind. All Cronus Ether despawns, and teleporters on the edge of the platform allow players to return to the main dungeon if so desired.
“Inconceivable! My perfection is unparalleled!”

One tip for Phases 1 and 4 is to not kill any of the fragments until they are all at low health, then killing them near simultaneously. This keeps the Goddess’ subphases from progressing, making these phases much easier. When the cubytes appear (phases 2 and 5, you don’t need to do this.
She is based on a Tesseract, a 4D shape interpreted as a higher-dimensional form of a cube and the fourth-dimensional counterpart to the square. This matches up with her lore of being a fourth-dimensional entity that commands an army of lesser squares and cubes.
