The Commotion Crab is a special enemy that appears in Deadwater Docks if the Crab Rave Dungeon Modifier is currently active in the dungeon.

If the Crab Rave I/II modifier is currently active within a Deadwater Docks, the single Calamity Crab found in the dungeon will instead be replaced a group of several Commotion Crabs: 4 for Crab Rave I, and 6 for Crab Rave II.
Each Commotion Crab has 37.5% (3/8) of the HP of the regular Calamity Crab and deals only half as much damage with all attacks, but otherwise behaves exactly the same. Notably, all of the Commotion Crabs can individually drop loot, and although each one gives less XP, killing all of them will overall grant more XP than killing the single large Calamity Crab would.
The same strategies for dealing with the regular Calamity Crab apply, although the threat of multiple coming from different directions encourages players to be even more careful of being cornered.
Similar to how the Calamity Crab is internally referred to as “DWD Mr Krabs” in the code, the Commotion Crab is internally called “DWD Mini Krabs”.
