Notes
Part of the Plague Doctor Priest Set
Taking into account this weapon’s secondary rate of fire, alongside the number of shots in total, this wand boasts a respectible 168 DPS, putting it between the T13 Wand of Evocation and T14 Wand of Retribution. That being said, the defense piercing properties of the secondary shot, as well as the low output of the primary shot, put this in a strange position in terms of viability before set bonuses, underperforming against its T13 counterpart between 18 and 40 DEF (50 Defense for T14). The far lower 7 tiles of range, versus tiered wands’ 9 tiles, further puts this weapon’s viability into question.
That being said, this weapon makes a decent swapout against enemies that bear incredibly high defense, such as the Nightmare Colony. or certain high defense enemies/bosses in endgame. Unfortunately, this also means it would be competing against endgame UT wands, which would considerably outperform the Cane of Caduceus. All in all, a decent, if not somewhat situational, wand on its own.
