The X Treasure Chest is an enemy found on the Beach. It spawns on a red X located in small oasis setpieces.

The X Treasure Chest is initially very small and invunerable.
When a player stands on it, they will begin to “dig it up” throwing harmless yellow grenades within a radius of one tile.
Throughout the digging process, three of these grenades will be orange, which travel out two tiles and spawn a Crab when they land.
After approximately ten seconds of the player standing on the chest, it will stop throwing sand and crabs, grow to full size, and become vulnerable.
